Registered Nurse (RN)
A registered nurse (RN) Primarily cares for patients by monitoring them, administering medications, consulting with health care providers, updating patient records, and educating patients and their patient’s families on disease and post-hospital treatment. RN’s work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, doctors’ offices, outpatient facilities, and nursing homes.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
A licensed practical nurse works in a medical setting and sees to it that patients are comfortable and well cared for. They will update medical charts and administer medication as prescribed by a licensed physician. Additionally, a licensed practical nurse will answer patient’s questions regarding their medical care and medication.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
A Certified Nursing Assistant, or Certified Nursing Aide, is responsible for supporting medical staff in administering care to patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. Their duties include helping patients bathe and maintain proper hygiene, feeding patients or ensuring they take their medication, and assessing their patients’ vital signs to notify staff of any changes.
Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)
A Home Health Aide assists with healthcare in a patient’s home, day service program, or group home. They may visit the patient each day in a part-time or full-time position, or they might live with the patient. Home Health Aides help with a variety of tasks, including primary healthcare duties, changing patients, and preparing and feeding them meals. They work with many types of patients, including those with cognitive impairments, physical limitations, or chronic ailments. Aides may also maintain and update home healthcare records for insurance purposes.

How is transportation handled?
(I.E. the client needs to do groceries, checkups, etc.) Alpha Healthcare Staffing will provide transportation to their staff (RN, HHA, CNA, LPN) designated pick-up and drop off to its client location. For clients needs, it is the client’s responsibility to handle their own transportation but we provide assistance in getting an Uber or Lyft and include this in the client’s bill.
Who pays for transportation costs?
Alpha Healthcare Staffing will shoulder the cost of the pick-up & drop-off at the provided scheduled time. Anything beyond that is at the employee’s expense.
Are accidents on the job covered?
Accidents on the job are shouldered by the employee’s insurance.
Can caretakers choose their clients?
We ensure providing a match between our client and caregiver. However, the caregiver can choose not to accept the assignment if they feel that they are not able to handle the case.
Are the schedules flexible around classes or other jobs?
We match the schedule of the caregiver to our client’s needs.
What happens if caretakers can't go to work?
We require our staff to inform us ahead of time for us to provide a reliever to our clients.
How are taxes handled?
Taxes are handled by individual filing.
Are there referral programs?
Yes, we have a referral fee for every hire.
